Create Belief to miss QEII
Create Belief will not run in next Saturday’s Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot. Her trainer, Johnny Murtagh said today, “Create Belief will miss Ascot next week and will go on her holidays for the winter. She has been on the go all year and I think the long season has caught up with her. She hasn’t been sparkling in her training at home this week therefore I think it’s best if we finish her for the year and let her have a well-deserved holiday. It’s very disappointing as I feel she is a Group 1 filly in the making but competing against the top milers in Europe is a stiff task and you must be 100% going into a race like the QEII. She’s a big filly and I think she could be even better next season. She gave me my first Royal Ascot winner as a trainer and there’s more big days ahead in her. She’ll come back to me in the new year, and we’ll then plan for next season. I would like to thank all of her members for the support this season and I'm looking forward to welcoming many of you to the yard on 18th October.”
RacehorseClub’s Freddy Tylicki said, “Johnny thinks its time to give Create Belief a break and bring her back for next season. She’s been a superstar all year for her members. It’s disappointing she’ll miss Ascot, however RacehorseClub must be guided by Johnny Murtagh’s expertise. She will be back next season to contest the biggest races in the calendar so it’s exciting times ahead.”
Members of Create Belief will not be required to pay a renewal fee for next season. Memberships will roll over into 2022 at no extra cost.
