Mise En Scene’s trainer James Ferguson said today;

“I'm really looking forward to running Mise En Scene back in the Atalanta Stakes at Sandown tomorrow over a mile.

Although we've discussed that she possibly wants further than a mile, a mile round Sandown is very stiff, you almost need a mile and a quarter to stay it well.

It's a very competitive race with some nice horses in there. The Gosden trained horse Grande Dame is obviously very good.

Fonteyne of Kevin Ryan's is a lovely horse and Nizaaka is very much on an upward curve so its a quality race and rightly so. It is a Group 3, it shouldn't be easy.

There's pace on in the race, Random Harvest of Ed Walker's is likely to go forward as well as Fonteyne who is drawn next to us in stall 8.

I would like to go forward in an ideal world if we got an easy lead but I don't think that is necessarily going to happen.

We'll jump to make the running but if they're going flat out we'll let them do the donkey work and we'll just sit in behind the leaders. But if we get a nice lead in front I'll also be very happy with that.

She's been very happy recently in her work performing well. Cieren Fallon knows the horse and is very comfortable riding her and I'm really looking forward to it.

There's a bit of give in the ground which I think will suit and fingers crossed we can get a good run into her before a big autumn campaign.

It will be great to see many RacehorseClub members on track tomorrow and hopefully we'll all have something to cheer about."

RacehorseClub said;

“RacehorseClub is hugely excited to see Mise En Scene back on a racecourse on Saturday at Sandown in the Atalanta Stakes.

James Ferguson has his horses in flying form winning the Sky Bet Great Voltigeur Stakes (Group 2) at York on Wednesday so hopefully Mise En Scene can continue his good run.

Since running in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh, Mise En Scene enjoyed a nice break to freshen her up and let her mature.

Going into this Saturday’s race James feels he has her in great form and is expecting a big run.

She has been entered in three Group 1 races in the autumn so hopefully Saturday can be a steppingstone to some more big race targets.

RacehorseClub is particularly looking forward to seeing Mise En Scene’s members on track on Saturday to cheer her on.”
