MIse En Scene Sandown Race Review

Mise En Scene finished 6th of 11 at Sandown on Saturday.

Her trainer James Ferguson said post race;

"Happy enough with the run, it wasn't quite as smooth as I'd hoped. They closed up very early, she jumped ok and we almost had to sit and suffer. It was very messy and she got bumped around a couple of times. She travelled around nicely and when Cieren has asked her to quicken she's run all the way to the line doing her best work late on. She's full of enthusiasm and probably lacked that turn of foot for a mile. We half knew she wanted a mile and two furlongs beforehand, but I felt it was a sensible stepping stone. We'll step her up in trip now with the run under her belt, she'll be less rusty and I'm looking to see some improvement from her. I hope you guys are pleased enough and its forwards and onwards from here. Speaking to Cieren after the race he thought she'd probably appreciate some juice in the ground as well."

Cieren Fallon said post race;

"She was nice and relaxed going to post. She was a little bit asleep behind the gates with the long lay off, had the hood on and she was a lot better but getting into stride she was a little bit ring rusty. It was a nice strong gallop but was quite a rough and messy race but she held her own there. She was travelling away nicely and then in the home straight when the pace lifted a little bit, she just lacked that gear. Again maybe just due to a lack of racing as she hasn't run for a while. Towards the finish she stayed on really well and I was really happy with the way she hit the line and I'm happy to step her up in trip and I think she'll appreciate a bit of dig in the ground as well."
