One True King Ludlow Race Review
One True King finished 5th at Ludlow this afternoon. His jockey Sam Twiston-Davies said post race;
"One True King today on the whole was a little disappointing but what I would say he did jump well. He was just missing a little bit of zip and what it was, he raced towards the front end the whole way at Aintree and I think he had a harder race than he's let on at home, so we'll give him a little bit more time between his races, I think we'll get him back really fresh and well at home and hopefully we'll see better next time. Hopefully the handicapper will give us a pound or two back in which case we get him fresh and well, in the right company hopefully it'll be our turn again before too long."
Nigel Twiston-Davies said;
"Sam was slightly disappointed but I'm not too disheartened. I think we'll drop him back down in trip and ride him more positively next time. Ride him handy and let him bowl along. There's plenty of big days in him, just today wasn't to be our day."
