"Hi everyone, just to let you all know that Potters Corner is absolutely fine after his run in the Grand National.
I felt he ran well for a long way but the ground possibly came up a bit quick for him and he didn’t have the best luck in running with horses falling around him which seemed to knock his confidence a little bit.
I’m going to give him a break now and bring him back into training in July. The handicapper dropped him four pounds for Aintree so going into next season I feel he will be going into it being a well handicapped horse rated 145 over fences. I’ll aim to run him in the Cheltenham cross country races which he’s already proved he’s got a liking for.
The Welsh Grand National will also be firmly on the agenda to try and regain his crown he won in 2019. I’m sure there’s still some big days in him as he’s been lightly raced over the last couple of seasons due to no fault of his own.
RacehorseClub will arrange a stable visit to see him later in the year and it will be great to meet you all and we’ll get you down onto the beach to watch Potters train as well as some of the yards other horses. I will keep you updated over the coming months with his progress and I can’t wait to see him back in action next season. All the best."
