Riot Curragh Race Review

Riot finished 7th of 22 runners at the Curragh this afternoon beaten by just over three lengths. A very pleasing start to his campaign. He got slightly outpaced in the middle part of the race but ran on strongly to the line having not had the clearest of runs.

Going into the race Johnny Murtagh believed he would come on slightly for the run and said post race today;

"Riot did everything really well in the parade ring and went to the start good. He was slightly on his toes at the start but jumped well and as Ben said he got outpaced when the race really quickened up but I loved the way he came home. He really stuck to his task and that was a good start for him. He will improve fitness wise for the run. I think we stick him up to 7 furlongs next time, but overall really pleased with that today."
