Ed Chamberlin

RacehorseClub are delighted to welcome ITV’s Ed Chamberlin to the team as a brand ambassador.

Ed’s passion for racing is utterly genuine, so deep that he gave up the biggest live broadcasting job in sport in order to work in the industry he loves.

Influenced by witnessing his grandfather’s enthusiasm for Saturday afternoon televised racing, Ed was hooked from an early stage, organising his family’s annual Grand National sweepstake long before he reached the age of consent.

After beginning his working life with the bookmakers, Ladbrokes, Ed was soon recruited as a broadcaster by Sky Sports.

In little more than a decade at Sky his talent and professionalism saw him given their biggest job of all, as lead football presenter, in 2011.By then he had already had a brush with death, only the most unpleasant form of chemotherapy treatment allowing him to recover fully from a cancerous tumour.

This episode prompted Ed to adopt a ‘seize the day’ attitude, hence he left Sky in 2017 to take his dream job as the face of ITV Racing.

Ed has since presided over a period of rocketing viewing figures, in the process winning a BAFTA Award and a Broadcast Presenter Of The Year gong.

What Ed says about RacehorseClub:

“In my four years since leaving the Premier League for horse racing, my ethos has always been to make racing accessible to all and enjoyed by as many people as possible. That includes racehorse ownership and I’ve long been a big advocate of syndicates on ITV.”

“RacehorseClub is new, innovative and great fun.  For a small amount of money it could enable you to take part on racing’s biggest stages. The only thing guaranteed in racing is unscripted drama and I’m looking forward to being part of the journey!”
