Potters Corner back in light exercise
"Potters Corner is back in light exercise and seems pleased that his holidays are over. He has had a great holiday which has done him the world of good both mentally and physically and it's great to have him back in training. He'll do some very light exercise for the next couple of weeks to get him going again but I couldn't be happier with him. Here he is this morning in behind."
30 June 2021: Potters Corner nearing the end of his holiday
"Potters Corner is in great form and the summer break has done him the world of good. I'm going to give him another week or so out in the field before bringing him back into training.
I'm going to do a lot of slow conditioning work with him to get him going again and gradually step up his work. I really believe he's got a big race in him this season. Things didn't work out for him last season and he's still got relatively low miles on the clock.
I'm really excited to get him going and can't wait to see him back on a racecourse as I'm sure he's going to give his members plenty of fun this season."

3 May 2021: Time in the river
Potters Corner enjoyed some time in the river with some of my other horses at the weekend. I like to keep the horses active and doing different things whilst on their holidays to keep them happy and not too fresh. Potters loves spending time in the river!
01 May 2021: Potters Corner update
"Potters Corner has spent the week out in the field. He seems very happy and is enjoying taking some time out."
23 April 2021: Potters Corner update
"Hi everyone, just to let you all know that Potters Corner is absolutely fine after his run in the Grand National.
I felt he ran well for a long way but the ground possibly came up a bit quick for him and he didn’t have the best luck in running with horses falling around him which seemed to knock his confidence a little bit.
I’m going to give him a break now and bring him back into training in July. The handicapper dropped him four pounds for Aintree so going into next season I feel he will be going into it being a well handicapped horse rated 145 over fences. I’ll aim to run him in the Cheltenham cross country races which he’s already proved he’s got a liking for.
The Welsh Grand National will also be firmly on the agenda to try and regain his crown he won in 2019. I’m sure there’s still some big days in him as he’s been lightly raced over the last couple of seasons due to no fault of his own.
RacehorseClub will arrange a stable visit to see him later in the year and it will be great to meet you all and we’ll get you down onto the beach to watch Potters train as well as some of the yards other horses. I will keep you updated over the coming months with his progress and I can’t wait to see him back in action next season. All the best."
22 April 2021: Create Belief joins RacehorseClub
RacehorseClub is delighted to announce to its members that the hugely exciting, Create Belief has been purchased to race for RacehorseClub for the next 12 months. She will continue to be trained by Johnny Murtagh in Ireland.
A very impressive winner of her maiden on just her second start on 8th April at Gowran Park, she now heads to Navan on Sunday to run in the Salsabil Stakes (Listed). Johnny Murtagh believes she is capable of lining up at Royal Ascot in June. Further information and shares will be available this afternoon.

11 April 2021: Potters Corner race review
Potters Corner is back safe and sound after running in the Grand National yesterday. He pulled up before Becher's Brook on the second circuit. The ground probably was on the lively side for him and he couldn't quite lay up with the pace second time round. Jack Tudor reported on a couple of occasions he had fallers around him which upset Potters' confidence. When out of contention Jack quite rightly pulled him up.
Christian Williams reported after the race Potters was fine and lived to fight another day. For his age he is still lightly raced especially the last couple of seasons due to no fault of his own. We will see how he is in a week or so time and speak to Christian with a plan going forwards. The Welsh Grand National will no doubt be back on Christian's mind as well as the Cross Country races at Cheltenham. There is still plenty of fun to be had with him and we look forward to seeing him back on a racecourse.

10 April 2021: The big day has arrived for Potters Corner!
Welcome to being part of the 2021 Randox Grand National. Race time 5.15pm.
Christian Williams reports Potters Corner to be “absolutely bouncing” ahead of today’s race. He has worked very well in the last ten days having an away day at Ffos Las and then schooling over Grand National style fences at David Pipe’s yard earlier this week. Christian has put the blinkers on him for the first time today to try and get absolutely everything out of him and he reports he’s worked extremely well at home in them. Ideally, he might have wanted a bit more rain, but the going was described by Jack Tudor who takes the ride as “like a carpet” after finishing second in the Topham over the Grand National fences yesterday. Potters Corner has the ideal profile for the race and this has been his target all year. Hopefully he can go one step better and win the real thing today after winning the virtual Grand National in 2020. He is currently around 22/1 this morning which is a very fair price.
Here’s to a great day ahead.

07 April 2021: Schooling over Grand National style fences this morning
07 April 2021: Final bit of work this morning before the Grand National
All good this morning. Potters Corner did his final bit of work before the National on Saturday and I gave him a school over some Grand National type fences. I put the blinkers on him once again as I did at Ffos Las last week just to sharpen him up, and being on his own he would have needed a little help to concentrate. I'm still not 100% sure I'll run him in the blinkers on Saturday but I've not totally written them off. If blinkers aren't being used then cheekpieces will be.

05 April 2021: He seems to be bouncing at home
Potters Corner had an easy day in the field yesterday and I’ve just kept him ticking over since his work at Ffos Las last week. There has been a confirmation of entry stage today to stay in the Grand National which I’ve done so the next stage is declaration on Thursday. All very exciting!
03 April 2021: Jack Tudor schooling yesterday
Potters Corner is on the far side under jockey Jack Tudor schooling yesterday morning at Ffos Las Racecourse.
03 April 2021: Potters Corner having a school by himself
I put the blinkers on him for the first time yesterday. It’s a possibility that he’ll run in the Grand National with them on.
02 April 2021: Ffos Las today
“We took Potters Corner to Ffos Las today for a racecourse gallop and is in great form. Jack Tudor who’ll ride him in the National rode him this morning. He galloped really well and at this stage I couldn’t be happier. Let’s hope we can get him to Aintree in the same form.”
