Won Group 3 Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown on Thursday 12th August
RacehorseClub is delighted to offer a 12-month Club membership in Create Belief who won the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot by 5 1/2 lengths on 18th June and has since gone on to win the Group 3 Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown.
Create Belief has already lived up to her name. In landing a 16-runner maiden race at Gowran Park in early April 2021 she created the belief that she was a filly with a big future, a horse that would merit a place in much higher profile races during the upcoming flat racing season. She further fulfilled this promise when winning a premier handicap at The Curragh on Irish 2000 Guineas Day booking her ticket to Royal Ascot.
She subsequently went to Royal Ascot galloping through the heavy ground to be one of the most impressive winners of the meeting.
The Racing Post said the following after her win, "A glut of non-runners but what looked a competitive race on paper turned into a one-sided event in closing stages and was a first Royal Ascot training success for riding legend Johnny Murtagh, who rode 48 winners at the Royal meeting. The four that raced away from the main stands' side group were soundly beaten some way out. The gallop was reasonable in the conditions and the field finished well strung out. Create Belief who had conditions to suit, travelled strongly and bolted up from a 10lb higher mark, confirming she's a Group-class filly in this sort of ground.
Create Belief has the right parentage to be a top class racehorse. She is one of first foals conceived by the exciting young stallion, Awtaad, a superb miler who won the Irish 2,000 Guineas in spring 2016 and later that season ran with great credit at both Royal Ascot and on QIPCO British Champions Day while also landing a Group 2 event during Irish Champions Weekend.
Her mother, Girl Of The Hour, was a winner over 1m 1f while her grandmother, American Spirit, is a half-sister to the 2007 Epsom Derby hero, Authorized, which means that she hails from the extended family of the 2012 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner, Solemia.
Johnny Murtagh said“Create Belief was very impressive when she won her maiden in April and then winning the premier handicap at The Curragh on Irish Guineas weekend. She's a hugely exciting filly which she showed when winning easily at Royal Ascot and then the Group 3 Desmond Stakes and will continue to give RacehorseClub members a lot more fun for the remaining of the year. The aim is to step up to Group 1 company in the Matron Stakes on Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown on 11th September.
